MACY's in New York is the largest department store in the city. The store covers an entire block in Herald Square and has 11 floors. The MACY's is a store where you can find (almost) everything you are looking for. Famous brands are especially easy to find on MACY's.

Shopping at MACY's can be heaven for some and hell for others. The MACY's is so big it can be hard to find what you're looking for. Even if you go just for the experience, it's worth checking out the store.

During the Christmas season, you should check out the store, but avoid going on a Saturday afternoon as it can be very crowded.

It's good to know that the MACY's is located in two buildings and you may have to go from one to the other. Don't hesitate to ask staff for help if you get lost. Most collections are separate: women's and men's. The women's department has thousands of dresses, so it's good to decide in advance which brands are of interest to you.

Annually, MACY's promotes a parade on Thanksgiving Day, on the streets of New York City, considered the largest parade of its kind in the world, with hundreds of decorated dolls and balloons. The event has great media repercussion, being broadcast live on TV in several US states.

There are MACY's stores in several US cities. The Manhattan store (which has 9 floors!) is located at 151 West 34th Street, on the corner of Broadway.

But the key tip at MACY's is this: as soon as you arrive, go to the information center table, show your foreign passport and get a coupon that gives you a 10% discount on all products in the store. This discount also applies to the eyewear and makeup kiosks inside (such as Ray Ban and MAC).
